My Story

Jessica Mahon is the author of the children’s book, Joel Meets the Paramedics. She is a paramedic by day and night and uses inspiration from the world of 911 in her writing. She aims to show the world of paramedicine, healthcare and other public safety careers to children through her Joel Meets series.

Jessica won the Kiwanis award in 2021 for her work in promoting the paramedic profession to community youth.  In theory, she’s writing her next children's book or working on her debut novel. In reality, she’s probably reading books to her daughters or trying to take a nap.
